In a historic gathering of young leaders from all 36 states of the federation, the City Boy Movement today inaugurated the National Youth Summit in the capital city of Abuja, signaling the commencement of a unified grassroots mobilization strategy.

The event, which drew thousands of vanguard members, volunteers, and policy advocates, focused on bridging the generational divide in governance and establishing a concrete actionable roadmap for youth engagement in the upcoming electoral and policy cycles.

A Mandate for Action

During the opening keynote, the National Director emphasized the critical role of the youth demographic not just as voters, but as active participants in the formulation of national development policies. The summit's agenda covers a wide range of topics central to the movement's core values:

  • Economic Empowerment: Strategies for expanding the Agri-Business SME support funds to reach deeply into rural wards.
  • Digital Literacy: Expanding the footprint of the newly launched Digital Literacy Hubs.
  • Civic Education: Enhancing grassroots voter education and combating misinformation at the community level.
"We are no longer the leaders of tomorrow waiting in the wings; we are the architects of today, actively building the nation we wish to inherit."

Next Steps for Zonal Coordinators

Following the plenary sessions, zonal coordinators broke out into regional working groups to tailor the national directives to the specific socio-political realities of their respective states. The North-Central and South-West commands reported significant milestones in local government integration, providing templates that other zones plan to adopt.

The summit will conclude tomorrow with the drafting of the 'Abuja Youth Declaration,' a comprehensive policy document that will be presented to national stakeholders as a formal commitment to progress, unity, and unwavering patriotism.
